How it works

Your due date in three steps

1. Pick the invoice date

Use the date printed on the invoice, not the day you received it, unless your contract says otherwise.

2. Choose the terms

Select Net 30, EOM, 15 MFI or set your own number of days. Add a weekend rule or early payment discount if needed.

3. Get the date

See the exact due date, how many days are left, and save it straight to your calendar with a reminder.

Is the early payment discount worth it?

An invoice for 5,000 dated 10 January 2026 on 2/10 Net 30 terms.

Pay by 20 January4,900save 100
Pay by 9 February5,000full amount

Paying 20 days early to save 2% works out to an annual rate of roughly 37% (2/98 × 365/20). That is why most finance teams take the discount when they have the cash.

FAQ

Common questions

Does Net 30 include weekends and holidays?

Yes. Net terms count calendar days, so weekends and public holidays are included. Some contracts move a due date that lands on a weekend to the next working day; use the weekend option to apply that rule.

Is the invoice date counted as day one?

No. Day one is the day after the invoice date. An invoice dated 1 March on Net 30 is due on 31 March.

What does 2/10 Net 30 mean?

The buyer can take a 2% discount if they pay within 10 days of the invoice date. Otherwise the full amount is due within 30 days.

What is the difference between EOM and Net 30 EOM?

EOM means payment is due on the last day of the month the invoice is dated. Net 30 EOM starts counting 30 days from that last day, so an invoice dated 10 January is due on 2 March in a non-leap year.

What does 15 MFI mean?

MFI stands for "month following invoice". 15 MFI means payment is due on the 15th of the month after the invoice date.

Is a due date calculated from the invoice date or the delivery date?

Usually the invoice date, which is what this calculator uses. If your contract says terms start on delivery or receipt of the invoice, enter that date instead.
